I’m Spartacus IPA – ABV 6.8%

Grassy and resinous, this Simcoe-driven India Pale Ale has loads of layers, including a refreshing grapefruit bitterness and tropical American-hop citrus tones.

Look: This particular Spartacus pours a hazy light golden colour.

Aroma: Grapefruit, lime and pine with the sort of grassiness you expect an APA, but which doesn’t overpower the other aromas.

Taste: There is bitterness against the booziness of the alcohol without the usual dry finish you’d normally expect a beer of this style. Best served fridge cold.

Food pairing: Beers of this style work extremely well with salty fried foods.
Try pairing it with the crispiness of salt and pepper king prawns.

Five O’Clock Shadow – ABV 7.3%

This American IPA is brimming with Summit, Apollo and Columbus hops so it’s bold strong and uncompromising – just like a real American cowboy.

Look: Hazy gold with a nice foamy off-white head and strong lacing.

Aroma: Big citrus notes straight out of the gate with grapefruit, orange and lemon zest; some resinous, piney tones and hoppy crispness.

Taste: The CaraRed and Munich malts start to take the lead with toast and biscuit notes but still plenty of citrus sweetness.

Verdict: Weird Beard encouraged us to embrace our inner cowboy with this one. So, quite simply, yee haw.

Juiceadelic DIPA – ABV 8.2%

This is a juicy, hazy double IPA made with oats for a soft, chewy mouthfeel and bucketloads of Citra and Mosaic hops.

Look: Golden amber with a slight haze.

Aroma: Delicate aroma of oranges and passionfruit.

Taste: Lots of orange zest and biscuit with a lovely thick mouthfeel the oats and a dry and slightly spicy finish.

Verdict: Superbly juicy, bursting with oranges and passionfruit and the characteristic mouthfeel that you only get oats in the grist. Top stuff.

Lightning Sombrero – ABV 8.5%

Best Before date: April 2018 but still tastes great!

This gooseberry DIPA is the result of a very fun brew day with Wild Weather Ales and is a fruity flavour bomb!

N7.7 IPA – ABV 7.7%

This beer celebrates the anniversary of Hammerton’s first brew and is loaded with seven distinguishable hops for notes of orange, passionfruit, lime and pine.

Look: It’s a dark orange beer with a small white head and

Aroma: The seven hops – Amarillo, Cascade, Centennial, Chinook, Herkules, Summit and Waimea come straight out in light citrus tones.

Taste: Big juicy notes of tropical fruits; orange, grapefruit, passionfruit, lime and pine.

Verdict: The mantra is ‘7’ for everything here – 7 hops, 7.7% ABV, brewed in London N7. It’s such a lovely beer you’ll probably find yourself wishing you had 7 bottles.

Nephilim IPA – ABV 7.4%

Well-rounded with a crisp bitter finish, this IPA is brewed with 1.5kg of Citra, Mosaic, Equinox and Simcoe hops per brewers barrel – and is as heavenly as the name suggests.

Look: Pours a rich amber golden colour with a medium off-white head and good lacing.

Aroma:  Plenty of bright fruits including orange and lemon, subtle notes of passionfruit and crisp piney hops.

Taste: More citrus, with grapefruit joining the orange and lemon, and smooth fruit including melon and peach and some subtle piney hops and spice. Medium bodied, well-rounded and really nicely balanced with a lasting bitter finish.

Verdict: A beer well worthy of the name (that means the offspring of the sons of God and the daughters of man) – fruity and hoppy with great balance and finish. The Nephilim were around just before the time of the Great Flood, which is the approximate quantity of this beer we could happily drink.

Double Iced Latte – ABV 7.2%

BB date April 2018 but still tastes great!

The idea behind Double Iced Latte was to create something with the creaminess of a latte in combination with the vibrancy of an IPA. The coffee used here is a Kenya Thunguri, sweet roasted for a beautifully rich and full flavour, supplied by our local roaster Tamp Culture. Allergens: Contains Malted Barley, Oats, Lactose

I’m So Bored With The USA – ABV 7.4%

A slightly different take on a modern, hazy IPA. Hopped to American IPA levels but brewed with entirely European hops.

Duet – ABV 7.0%

Alpine’s original West Coast-style single IPA is made with Simcoe and Amarillo hops to strike a harmonious hop balance. Duet pours a hazy straw colour and is topped with bright white beer foam. It offers a blast of resinous aromatics with notes of evergreen pine, orange zest, and hints of cedar. Big hoppy flavours mingle with geranial notes, while hints of citrus fruit and an overall lingering piney quality lend a touch of complexity to an otherwise simple and delicious IPA.

Hepcat Hepcat – ABV 7.5%

Hepcat Hepcat is a beer to celebrate our 400th brew!

Our most popular session beer, brewed (almost) twice as strong. Twice the malt, twice the hops, twice the Hepcat.
