Citrus Bay DIPA – ABV 9.5%

Citrus and the fragrant spice of toasted coriander and bay leaves combined to give a zesty, fruity yet aromatic and complex imperial IPA.

Look: Pours a beautiful golden amber, with thin white head and lacing.

Aroma: Grapefruit and orange, with aromatics of coriander and bay.

Taste: Orange marmalade, with a spicy finish against a caramel body.

Verdict: Big zesty brute of an imperial IPA given an nice aromatic twist by those clever devils at Wiper & True.

Big Poppa IPA – ABV 7%

This single hop IPA is loaded with oats and Amarillo.

Look: Murky juice-bomb.

Aroma: Citrus zest, with orange and grapefruit.

Taste: Lovely thick, pulpy mouthfeel the oats, big and juicy with a gentle grassy finish.

Verdict: Big on oats, this beer is a great example of the current wave of New England-inspired IPAs.

Surface Area DIPA – ABV 8.2%

Citra and Simcoe combine to deliver a DIPA with restrained bitterness in which the juice shines through.

Look: Hazy orange-gold, with a pillowy white head.

Aroma: Oranges, tangerine and mango.

Taste: Full-bodied, with sweet grapefruit, orange zest and a sprinkling of pine needles.

Verdict: Dangerously-drinkable fruit juice.

Karoshi DIPA – ABV 8%

Thick, juicy easy-drinking DIPA, brewed whilst the team at Gipsy Hill were building their new brew house.

Look: Nice and murky, just like a New England IPA should be. 

Aroma: Tropical fruit with a hit of hops.

Taste: Creamy mouthfeel, with orange and pineapple juice and a nice bitter finish.

Verdict: Another great New England IPA Gipsy Hill, following on the heels of Ramblers.

DIPA LE#1 – ABV 8.8%

Tropical fruit-laden, mosaic-led DIPA that is smooth with low perceived bitterness the 72 IBUs.

Look: Golden and hazy, with a soft white head.

Aroma: Grapefruit, pine needles and caramel.

Taste: Smooth, thick mouthfeel with mango, mandarin and citrus zest against a toffee malt body.

Verdict: Delicious juice-bomb that you’ll want to drink again and again.

The Hoptimist DIPA – ABV 9.1%

Big juicy hop-bomb, originally brewed in collaboration with North Riding.

Look: Dark gold with a thin white head. 

Aroma: Grapefruit, sharpened with lime zest and lots of pine needles.

Taste: Bitter pine resin throughout, with fresh citrus set against a backbone of dark caramel malt.

Verdict: Beautiful marriage of an old school and West Coast DIPA.

Tax Man DIPA – ABV 8.6%

Thick as treacle, sitting somewhere between a Double and Imperial IPA (if you perceive a difference) and loaded with bitter hops.

Look: Dark hazy orange with a thin white head.

Aroma: Sweet caramel, with passionfruit and lemon zest.

Taste: Syrupy thick, malty backbone with a massive bitter finish.  

Verdict: Serious old-school double IPA that treads the line between smooth and powerful with delicious aplomb.

Yakima Valley IPA – ABV 7%

Mango Dipper DIPA – ABV 8.2%

Captain Insano Triple IPA – ABV 10%
